Propel wins Creative Awards at the Boise Advertising Federation Rockie Awards. - APRIL 16. 2011 – BOISE, IDAHO – Propel Communications took home Silver BAF Rockie Awards and Citations of Excellence for work created this past year for Grand Targhee Resort, Boise School District and Mediocre Mowers, a Boise-based lawn care company. This was Propel’s first year entering the local Boise awards competition which is affiliated with the American Advertising Federation.
Propel Creates New Latino Newspaper for Eastern Idaho in Partnership with Teton Valley News. – FEBRUARY 23, 2011 – VICTOR, IDAHO – Propel Communications’ Managing Director, Steve Inch, developed a concept for a new Latino-focused newspaper serving the Teton Valley, Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming markets and has partnered with Teton Valley News in Driggs, Idaho to offer the region’s first, Latino-focused newspaper. The newspaper’s current working title is “Discursos” (a name created by Propel client, Stephanie Telesco of Brick Oven Bistro in Boise, Idaho). Propel and publisher, Scott Anderson of Teton Valley News are conducting an evening of focus groups on March 3rd at Teton Springs Resort to test out designs, layout, news content and advertising details of the publication. Launch date of the publication has not been finalized but the target date for publishing of the first issue is sometime in March, 2011. The venture has garnered wide support from area locals, businesses and advertisers and from Ricardo Pineda, Consul of Mexico for the states of Idaho and Montana.
